Teacher Types - Top Picks for Educational Toys

Teacher Types

These are a few of my favourite (educational) things

Hi everyone! I’m Lauren – from the beautiful city of Adelaide (where Little Lion Boutique is based incase you weren’t aware). I’m also an early years teacher and mother of two so I’m all about finding beautiful and educational toys for my kids and students. After having a browse around the Little Lion Boutique website these were a few standouts for me that I thought were definitely worth a mention. I’ll also give you a few ideas of what you could do with them!

Princess/Fairy dolls

These gorgeous creations are ideal for imaginary play. Set up tea parties, feed them and pop them to bed. Created by the beautiful brand Nana Huchy they’ll be that special friend your child will be sure to love!

Wooden Camera

There is no telling what a child’s imagination can do! Take this wooden camera with you next time you go on a nature walk and search for interesting treasures. Sometimes the make believe toys that allow their imaginations to take flight are better than modern technology.

Transport Vehicles

I have only recently discovered Make Me Iconic and I love their stuff! These ferries and trams are such a great addition to our train set.

Fruit Puzzles

Watermelon, watermelon, I love you love watermelon! This is one of the coolest puzzles ever! (Another gem from Make Me Iconic). Each piece connects by a magnet – there are four pieces in total. It could also double as play food in your child’ play kitchen!

Alphabet Blocks

Another beautiful local SA business is Hello Pear who hand crafts these beautiful alphabet blocks. Capital letters on one side and lower case on the other side, they are ideal for exposing young children to the alphabet, identifying letters and then as they get older, putting letters together to create simple words. Of course there are many other uses! On my blog I shared 20 ways to use them!

So there you have it! Just a few of the cool little toys that Little Lion Boutique has to offer. If you’re looking for more play and activity ideas please come and visit me on my blog www.teachertypes.com, Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/teacher_types/_) (I love instagram) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/teachertypes/).
